🎃 Halloween Week in Van Buren: Cars, Costumes & Candy on Main Street |
From classic cruisers to costumed kids, Main Street is the place to be as the River Valley celebrates Halloween in style. |
October finishes strong in Van Buren with back-to-back events that bring the community together for a little nostalgia, a little fright, and a lot of fun.
This Saturday, Oct 25, engines roar to life for Cruise Night on Main Street.
The evening tradition mixes shiny chrome, old-school tunes, and local charm as families stroll the sidewalks snapping photos of vintage rides.
Many Main Street shops will stay open late, offering treats, snacks, and sidewalk specials.
It’s the perfect low-key kickoff to Halloween week — come early for parking and stay for sunset lights reflecting off polished hoods.
Then, on Thursday, Oct 31, downtown transforms into a Halloween wonderland for Halloween on Main.
Dozens of merchants and community groups hand out candy while costumed kids, pets, and parents fill the street.
Expect a pet-costume parade around 5 PM, the big costume contest at 7 PM, and plenty of photo ops in front of decorated storefronts.
Whether you’re there for the cars, the costumes, or the candy, it’s a celebration of everything that makes Van Buren special — friendly faces, small-town pride, and memories made right in the heart of Main Street.
