As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, Arkansas is preparing to celebrate its own rich history, culture, and contributions to the nation — and local artists are invited to play a starring role.
The Arkansas250 Commission, in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism and the Arkansas Arts Council, has announced a statewide call for commissioned artwork that will capture the spirit and story of Arkansas.
This unique opportunity gives artists across the state the chance to help shape how the Natural State is represented during America’s Semiquincentennial celebration.
